¹ú²ú¾«Æ·ÎçÒ¹¸£ÀûÇ崿¶Á³ is committed to diversity and we understand affordability is an important consideration in the college search process. ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·ÎçÒ¹¸£ÀûÇ崿¶Á³ offered over $2.4 million in merit-based scholarships and need-based financial assistance to international students admitted last year. ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·ÎçÒ¹¸£ÀûÇ崿¶Á³ meets demonstrated need for admitted international students on student visas, often through a combination of merit scholarships, institutional financial aid, and work study. Our international admission process is need-aware and admission is extremely competitive for international students seeking significant financial aid.

All applicants are automatically considered for general merit scholarships that range up to $37,000 per year. All international applicants must complete the ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·ÎçÒ¹¸£ÀûÇ崿¶Á³ Non-Citizen Financial Supplement, a free form available in their ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·ÎçÒ¹¸£ÀûÇ崿¶Á³ portal after they submit the Common Application, and submit a bank statement supporting their available funding. ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·ÎçÒ¹¸£ÀûÇ崿¶Á³ does not require the CSS Profile for international students.

¹ú²ú¾«Æ·ÎçÒ¹¸£ÀûÇ崿¶Á³â€™ financial aid does not include transportation, textbooks, SEVIS fees, housing costs during winter or summer breaks, and other personal expenses. ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·ÎçÒ¹¸£ÀûÇ崿¶Á³ financial aid is renewable, so assuming satisfactory academic progress, the student should have the same financial aid package for all four years.

To help you better understand our financial aid for international students, we’d like to share a few sample scenarios of prospective international applicants to ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·ÎçÒ¹¸£ÀûÇ崿¶Á³. Names and identifying details have been changed, but these are similar profiles to recent applicants admitted to ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·ÎçÒ¹¸£ÀûÇ崿¶Á³.

• Academics: Emir attends a national high school in Bishkek. He earned all 5’s in his high school curriculum. He did not submit SAT/ACT scores and he scored 130 on the Duolingo English Test. 
• Additional Information: His counselor and his teacher both share examples of his empathy and the way he works with others. Emir is on the Student Council, helped design the school’s new website, and is a leader with the school’s volunteering club. 
• Expected family contribution per financial documents: $25,000 per year. 
• Result: Admitted with a Diehl scholarship of $34,000 per year, a ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·ÎçÒ¹¸£ÀûÇ崿¶Á³ grant of $12,000 per year and can earn up to $2500 a year in on-campus work study.
• Out of pocket costs this year: $23,830, assuming work study earnings are applied

• Academics: Lin attends the international department of a strong high school in Beijing where 100% of students matriculate into a four-year college. She took 4 Advanced Placement classes in 11th grade and 4 more in grade 12. Her GPA is 98/100 and her TOEFL was 113. 
• Additional Information: Lin is very involved with dance, community service with children with disabilities and worked on a research project related to psychology. She submitted an online recorded interview and met with the ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·ÎçÒ¹¸£ÀûÇ崿¶Á³ admission counselor when they visited her high school. 
• Expected Family Contribution per financial documents: $30,000 per year
• Result: Admitted with Presidential Scholarship of $37,000 plus $4,000 ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·ÎçÒ¹¸£ÀûÇ崿¶Á³ grant and can earn up to $2500 in work study
• Out of pocket costs this year: $28,830 assuming work study earnings are applied 

• Academics: Carolina is participating in an IB curriculum school in Sao Paulo and she has a predicted 38/45 IB points. She is working with BRASA in her college process. She has a 110 TOEFL, 1380 SAT. 
• Additional Information: She performs ballet, sings in a choral ensemble, participated in a US university Young Global Scholars summer program, is a representative on the Student Council, and helps tutor math. Her recommendation letters praise her initiative, resilience and desire to learn. 
• Expected Family Contribution per financial documents: $65,000 per year
• Result: Admitted with a Diehl scholarship valued at $34,000 per year and she’s eligible to earn up to $2500 a year with an on-campus work study job.
• Out of pocket costs this year: $35,830 assuming work study earnings are applied

• Academics: Robert attends a high school just outside of London. He did GSCE courses and qualified for A Levels in maths, biology, chemistry and French and an AS level in psychology. His predicted grades are A* in Mathematics and Biology, A in Chemistry and French and (b) in Psychology. 
• Additional information: Robert’s essay talks about his challenges trying to teach himself the guitar. He also plays on the school rugby team and does community service with a local food pantry. 
• Expected family contribution per financial documents: $35,000 per year
• Results: Admitted with a ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·ÎçÒ¹¸£ÀûÇ崿¶Á³ Award of $32,000 per year and a $4,000 ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·ÎçÒ¹¸£ÀûÇ崿¶Á³ grant,  plus he’s eligible to earn up to $2500 with an on-campus work study job.
